Effective from 1st January 2025, MiTek’s North American mezzanine business, operating out of the Waupaca manufacturing facility and the New Berlin office in Wisconsin, will join Steele Solutions, Inc. (SSI). SSI, a Milwaukee-based leader in steel work platforms, is well-positioned to support the continued success of this business under its ownership.
This change will not impact MiTek’s operations in Europe. Our teams in the UK and Germany remain dedicated to delivering the exceptional service and support our customers rely on. Despite operating in a challenging market, MiTek continues to lead as the UK’s premier mezzanine solution provider, with promising growth prospects across Europe.
The Rationale Behind the Sale
The decision to sell the U.S. Mezzanine Systems business follows a period of significant market challenges, including reduced demand for mezzanine fabrication in North America. Recognising the need for a strategic shift, MiTek has chosen to transfer this segment to SSI. This move aligns with our commitment to ensuring the business’s long-term success.
