With around a dozen contractor partners and some 200 suppliers in total, procurement and supplier management at MiTek is a complex task. Around four years ago, we implemented Causeway Supplier Management, a cloud-based solution that has streamlined and simplified control of our supply chain.

Tools for faster processing of internal requests, PQQs (Pre-Qualification Questionnaires) and supplier onboarding mean the system has helped to strengthen our supplier relationships and risk management. In addition, the ability to perform detailed performance review reporting has allowed our team to assess and improve supplier quality in a systematic way. Performance metrics are tracked consistently, providing valuable insights into supplier reliability, quality standards and delivery times. As a result, we have been able to build closer relationships with high-performing suppliers and proactively address any issues with those requiring improvement. This has helped to foster a culture of excellence and cemented MiTek's reputation as a trusted and high-quality provider of mezzanine solutions.
As Fran mentioned, the Causeway platform has also helped us to find reliable suppliers in new regions quickly, supporting our expansion strategy. Advanced search functionality – based on criteria such as location, capabilities and compliance standards – has facilitated entry into new markets and supported our growth objectives.
Another important benefit has been the assistance in obtaining ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Health & Safety Management) certifications, in addition to re-certification for ISO 9001 (Quality). The platform's robust documentation management and audit support has contributed significantly to these achievements.
